BenelliSei:  I've already added that photo to my Rickman Folder, Thanks.  That gets me wondering if the ebay part is correct for my Bike.  I suspect it was meant to mount a Rickman Fairing to a CB750 frame.  I'm still hoping someone on this site has an original CR mount, and I can thereby modify and then nickel plate the mount offered on ebay. More photos are thus greatly anticipated.

Doug..... here’s a better photo from the Rickman Facebook pages. Check them out for lots of interesting detail.

The previous owner of my bike is dropping a few bits Friday. He has three fairing side mounts, and a few other small bits h came across. I’ll send photos when I get them.  John D.

John, yes, that picture is turned sideways for some reason.?  If your previous owner keeps coming up with parts, you should be able to start a second bike soon!    Scott M.

Stuart (the PO) brought over three lower fairing mounts today. They are aluminum ones they made for the race bike, but he says they copied the originals, that were steel. They look just like Scott’s.

 He also left me the original Rickman clipons, which are great to have. They are drilled and opened up to take the original Honda bar end switches. They even have the small holes drilled for the locating posts in the switches! Perfect!

Now all I need is for the Covid Restrictions to loosen up in Toronto, so I can get into my friend’s shop for brazing up all my new brackets and bits to the frame!

Benelli,Did they fashion those brackets out of T6061 aluminum or such ?

I believe so. The guys on the Rickman Race Team mostly worked in a GM Maint. Shop in Oshawa, Ont.
The pipes are solid, but extremely light. Lots of the big hardware on the bike has been gun drilled and there are many titanium fasteners too........

I'm referring to your reply #280 on pg.12

My mistake! 75%. I will use several of the original brackets. Unfortunately, some (like the horn bracket) were probably cut off with a hacksaw and then ground away. They no longer have enough “meat” to reuse, but they made a useful template.

The real issue right now is Covid Restrictions. I’ve got the Rickman on a rolling platform, ready to haul it to a friend’s shop, unfortunately in Toronto. He’s the xpert gas welder and I need a few days of his time...... then a few days of filing and sanding, before the plating. Fortunately I have a few other distractions in the shop!

Nice package in the mail today (very well packed). Sale on EBay a few weeks ago, bought a set of new repro gauges from “scrambler cycle”. Very inexpensive and they look great. Perfect for the Rickman CR.

Scott, I  have to agree. They look much better than expected. Look good on your Rickman, for sure. I added some small idiot lights to the mount I built. I think it will be OK!

Did you make new top nuts for your fork tubes? One of mine is pretty scarred.....

  John, The cap nuts are as I got them. One is a little wrench marked. I imagine they would be tough to source.Greeves in England has the rights to Progressive Metals [O.E.M.], but I doubt they have parts for the 1 5/8" fork. My stem nut was missing, I ended up using a [1950 ish I think] Norton clutch hub nut in stainless. If you find a source for cap nuts, or a reasonable price to machine them, I would love to know!

Scott.... they are fairly complex, with the vent and all. I see on the Rickman Facebook page there are more than a few that would take them. Are yours chromed (mine are)? I have a buddy who could probably make them, but my recent experience with chrome plating quotes leaves me wondering what they would end up costing!!!! I wonder if there are any other 41mm forks that use the same cap?
