A great sidecar racer, frame designer & true gentleman, with balls of steel - along with Wally Rawlings in the chair, Seeley set the fastest lap in only his second ever practice session at the TT having never even ridden the course before that week - to put that in context, John McGuiness reckons it takes a couple of years just to memorise the course. Seeley & Rawlings finished 6th in their first ever race on the Island, behind the all-conquering BMW's. A great man & a great loss.

I have owned SH7-521 for over 40 years now; when I bought it, I had never heard of Colin, but I knew quality craftsmanship when I saw it... RIP Colin. :'(

Colin's passing was very sad news.  I got to speak to him a few times when I was re-commissioning my Seeley 750 Honda and he was the most natural and easy guy to talk to. I can't repeat what he said about his partnership with Bernie Ecclestone though  ;D.  His record within the racing world is legend, as was his and Eva's charity work.  They raise hundreds of thousands pounds for the Joan Seeley Pain Relief Trust (Joan, his first wife, died from cancer). 

Rest in Peace Colin.  Your legacy will be with us for a long time.

Sad to hear, was fortunate to meet him at Barber in 2018, a true gentleman, super nice guy
