Vermont never issued titles for bikes, but registrations and plates. You can take the VT registration and plate to a state that does issue titles, and get a title that way. This came up on another forum as well, but the system is still the same and you can still register bikes in VT.
Can you still register a vehicle in Vermont as a Non-resident? Honestly I dont know. I know for a fact VT state residency is required to get a title.
Completely incorrect. You need and will be issued a title for any vehicle 15 years old or newer in Vermont, including motorcycles.
You can get a title for an older vehicle. I did for my 72 before I left and it made getting a Virginia Title easy. I have a 93 Nighthawk that was registered and without a title, that took a considerable amount of time at the DMV in Virginia, took 3 additional supervisors, and was told it may not happen. It eventually did, but it was a PITA. I was even a VT resident applying for VA residency, which helped. I was subject to VT DMV law, which VA looked up. I also had the original bill of sale and original registration forms from VT, apparently that made all the difference. I
