In my own opinion (just an opinion, not arguing), Some people put way too much emphasis on objects, just because of the popularity of one person. Now, with that being said, I think I have seen about everything that Steve McQueen was in, to my knowledge (some, several times) I was in Japan, based at Misawa AFB, when "Bullit" was released and was able to watch it, at the theater on the base. I saw it several times as well. BUT, it really bothers me, when I see something go like this, when I have also seen the same sort of people, who were bidding on this Mustang, not put that same kind of emphasis out there, when the proceeds, that will come from an item up for bids, that would be used, to benefit people with very serious Health issues and such. Oh, the bids will go up pretty goo & then stop, while the auctioneer works, in vain, to get it on up. BUT, people with enough money, that could help out even more, without putting a dent in their finances, won't budge. And folks, as I said, I am just about as big of a fan of Steve McQueen, as anybody is & will continue to watch movies with him in them.
With that being said, it makes me wonder about the sawed off Winchester(s), he used, in "Wanted, Dead Or Alive"?
AND, for those of you, who know that I am mainly a Mopar Guy, it wouldn't matter what it was or what brand it was, I would still feel the same way. My feeling is all about People, with Serious Medical Issues, getting as much help, as humanly possible.
So Please Understand.
