Cb500 yoshimura cams identification
« on: February 05, 2007, 07:32:00 PM »
I have two Yosh "TT100" cams also referred to as "Daytona" cams. They made two types and this was the hotter of the two. My memory is fuzzy and I can't recall what the milder street cam was called?

Does anyone have info or specs on either of their cams? I may be willing to trade one of the TT100 cams for the milder one?

I don't have access to the cams for a while. I'm spending the winter in Florida,.... house and toys are in Michigan. I won't be back home until May!

Can't remember the specs, but they did require notched pistons and stiffer springs?

The end of the cam should have POPS hand-engraved on it. Thats the way his originaly came back in the day.

I'm not trying to identify my cams, I bought them new way back when. I just can't remember what they called the milder street performance cam??

Street special cam partb#121-00             $102.00                     $72.93

TT Special YH600-122-00    int opens 27°BTDC  int closes 57°ABDC  lift 9.00mm
exh opens 56°BBDC  exh closes 27°ATDC  lift 8.55mm

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info,.. Don't know where I got "TT 100" from, but thought I remembered the 500 cam also being called the "Daytona" grind in magazine articles as well?

Then again I remember myself as a handsome and talented rider 30 years ago, but my friends seem to think that wasn't true?? Hey,.. that's my story and I'm stickin with it  ;D

Hey being handsome and talented is a good thing, stick to your story, we can't argue with that!
