VTC - Thanks for the VT info , good to know for all here  ( it's a damn shame though ...)

Vermont has different "Branch Locations" run by a Head Inspector. In my case I had to contact the South Burlington Head Inspector because local officer wouldn't/couldn't verify my title (wasn't 17 digits long).  He's a nice guy, rides BMWs.

All forms still go to the Montpelier main office. Unfortunately I think its a loop hole they are closing.

I would wager money this article last August has had something to do with the loophole being closed/slammed shut.

We will all have to thank him for his contribution to closing that door. NO State likes a spotlight being shined brightly on their loop holes people are sometimes exploiting...
This posting is on HAGERTY!  They are a huge influencer in the car restoration business and also a major source of info many will see. Governments are becoming very sensitive to current events and responding to those...
Living in Tucson and they recently lumped RC aircraft with drones and drones pose the risk moreso than most aircraft of being FPV & remotely piloted (First Person Viewing is the capability of flying the drone...a quad copter or a drone...Equipped with cameras to allow them to operate it beyond line of sight...which is illegal to do in the USA. It is also illegal to fly a drone or quadcopter at night. And now even RC aircraft are not suppose to be flown at night.) I believe a remotely piloted aircraft not equipped with camera gear or FPV gear is incapable of being flown beyond line of sight and it takes skill to fly such craft...Well it used to, now the stabilization equipment possible you can successfully fly small RC airplanes which have gyros and orientation telemetry equipment which used to be very expensive. It is now very cheap. The drones sold in stores do not require much skill now as they have that telemetry equipment allowing them to even have GPS location to return to the start point and more expensive ones can follow the path they flew to get their... Lots of crashing drone footage on YouTube where the Return to Takeoff site button was pressed and the drone took a direct path straight into a huge rock or mountain They into or over the prison which is located below Sentinel Peak park west of the downtown and south of Sentinel Peak.
They are concerned about a drone taking pictures or overflying the prison and dropping contraband or weapons into the prison. Becoming a favored method when they can do so and have high success rates smuggling small things in that way.

RC airplanes, predominately slope gliders/sailplanes have been flown for over 30 years from this park and they have not caused any injuries or property damage in that time to the best of anyone whom has been flying there for 20+ years. So, we lost a great flying site for slope lift was consistently good and could be flown with moderate to higher winds from 3 of the compass points, making it an even better site. It was highly accessible for the launch site, drive up, unload, and test.
Also, it would be stupid to fly a drone from Sentinel Peak as the access to the peak is a lengthy slow exit and could easily be blocked and the drone operator apprehended if they were doing an illegal activity like a drop or overflight of a gov’t facility that is a no fly zone.   Far better to operate it from another roadway that you have multiple exit points and directions to take, they would not know where to look and it would be far easier to escape.

I may have to wait to test this theory as I have a small bike in a similar state as the author posted... Bought several years ago and didn’t think about titling it until it was finished and the title is from a PACNW state but signed off on...
It might raise some eyebrows and I might be blocked from titling it locally. Complicate that by the fact it probably is from an original owner whom is dead.
