I just put a set on my 550. Have not ridden it yet but they seem fine. Even come with new seals.

I'm planning on putting a -2" set in my 750 along with their springs. Prices seem really good considering Franks Fork quoted me $350 for just the tubes. They seem to be the cheapest out of everyone.

Curious what everyone's opinion is of CycleX fork tubes.
Thanks

I've seen some aftermarket tubes a little big on the OD at the top, so check closely and be careful tightening down your top tree. I do have proper D washers but can't pull the bolts down until the washers are trapped. I torque them now. Rhino horn breakage is a heart and wallet breaker, thank goodness a member here sold me a box of left over parts with one included.
I'm sure Franks are top quality, mine may have been from 4-1 or Z1 parts. I can't remember for sure but I am sure they were not made in Japan or US. I haven't had any from cycle X.

No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

Good information to know. That would be a very sad day indeed. I guess it would be best to use calipers and measure the diameter before installing to make sure they are actually 35 mm. Do you think an OD a little big would still work and not run the risk of cracking the clamp if properly torqued? Are OEM exactly 35 mm in diameter?

Don what do you torque yours to?

Torque setting for that top bolt with the "D" washer is 6.5 - 9.4 ft. lbs. I use it on all my top fork bolts.
