Topic: Base Line jet sizes with Velocity stacks??

Has anyone ran velocity stacks coupled with a shorty muffler? If so what jet sizes did you go with for basline. My bike is a 78 cb550.  I currently have pods with the shorty muffler. 95 main with 42 slow.

I would do 105 mains (maybe 110 if you feel more power at wide open throttle with the choke slightly applied)

Stock pilots

Raise the needle one notch from stock position (meaning lower the clip)

That should get you pretty good. If I were you I’d try and find a local dyno. A guy by me charges around $50 for three pulls.
