Topic: headlight ring assembly

Hey Guys,

I checked the FAQ and couldn't find anything that really answered my question so I decided to post a new topic.  Here it is: Does anyone know where I can buy an OEM headlight ring assembly from?  I checked some sites and was sticker shocked at how much an NOS set will cost and am looking to get something in a more comfortable price range.

Another option would be to just get a whole new bucket and trim set to go with the project I'm working on but am unsure where to look for that.  I had trouble finding stuff at Dennis Kirk and JC Whitney for a whole new bucket and trim set. 

Also, will Harley lights work on my bike as long as its a 7 inch light?

I know this might be repetitive for some, unimportant to other, but as a Newbie I have no where else to turn.

I would start with e-bay.  Tons of used CB parts there.

Sam,  I think I have an aftermarket NOS ring, and an OK used ring from 750F

I got suckered into an aftermarket ebay item...it didn't work (and is now for sale )  I was patient and got a great used Honda one with awesome chrome...be patient.

Z1 sells the headlight rings for $20 a set.  They don't have them listed as fitting the sohc4's, but I don't see why they wouldn't as they're for a standard 7" headlight.  I bought them as a set with a new bucket for the KZ1000, and they look exactly like the rings on my 750.
