Replacing transmission puck
« on: February 19, 2020, 06:07:51 AM »
Looking to replace a left hand side transmission puck on my cb350f.  I have never done a puck before.  Is it like any other seal, just pick it out and put a new one in place, maybe a little hondabond?

Thanks

If thats the one in front of the sproket and same as 400 you need to split the cases as there is a "pip" on the outside that goes into a hole in the case i think
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

Yeah it's the same as the 400 and I do see a little pump out on the seal.  I was hoping not to have to split the cases.  I am actually restoring the bike and getting ready to put the engine back into the bike after doing top end, clutch and oil pump rebuild.  Not 100% sure the seal is even leaky, just replacing everything as this engine hasn't ran in 40 years.  Maybe I will just chance this one item, all the rest of the rubber parts I have seen I have replaced.

Thanks,  Bob
