CB550/500 Caliper Brackets - Reversible?
« on: February 08, 2020, 10:15:03 AM »
Getting a 550 fork lower to add stopping power to my 500. I already have an extra 500 left side caliper, so my question is this - Can I move it to the right side fork?

hi, I did a twin disc set up without any problems. You'll need to cut the speedo plate however.

Try this -

There are  more variations than people thing on the lower casting, i have seen one where alloy had to be removed from the big mounting and a lot where spacers are needed. Best way is to clamp the caliper to the disc and shom or machine to get bracket to fit properly. Doesnt take much time, effort or skill
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

Thanks! I just wanted to make sure there's no left/right differentiation. The speedo will be eliminated in favor of a GPS based speedo.
