CB750 trike
« on: February 25, 2020, 01:28:38 PM »
New owner of an old bike... It appears to be a late 72 or early 73 CB750 K2 engine in a Corbin Gentry 1970's trike frame, with a Harley Servicar rear end, and a 77 or 78 CB750F front end (wheel, brakes, trees, gauges) and 6-over fork tubes.  Dual carb conversion with Mikuni VM34s and what I think are CycleX manifolds.

It's a project bike - technically it runs... but it reportedly had some top end oiling problems, so I'm working through it.

The whole "metric inline 4" world is entirely new to me... I'm a v-twin guy normally.

Southwest Florida, where the rest of the world comes to die... uh, I mean "retire".

I should admit the following:
My first through 3rd cars: Ford
2nd car: Chevy
4th through 6th cars: Ford
My first bike: '74 ironhead sportster (shorty bars, no gauges, kick-only, the correct number of seats... ONE)
My second bike: '79 shovelhead (rebuilt ground-up from a complete basket case, nearly bone stock - just seat and rear brakes changed, and turnout mufflers)

So when I say this is my first "metric"... I mean it.
Closest to metric bikes I've been is a couple of buddies with modern CBR9xxRR and CBR1xxxRR bikes.  Oh... and that old Yamaha 80 my uncle had that my cousins and I ripped around the neighborhood when I was a kid.
