78 cb750f jetting question
« on: February 25, 2020, 01:22:04 PM »
hey all, first post here and looking for some help.  I just purchased a 78 super sport that is all stock but has been sitting since the 80's.  I pulled everything apart and was surprised how clean everything was.  I was cleaning the carbs and trying to unscrew the jets and a 2 of them are pretty stuck on and brittle.  I ordered a replacement K&N for the stock box and also a Delkevic exhaust which claims no rejetting.  I have been reading and searching on here for a few days but never really got a concise answer to it, so my question is should i got up to a 108 or 110 main for the combo of exhaust and filter? many have claimed the stock 105 will be fine, and many have made posts about basic jetting suggestions for specific aftermarket add ons.  I would like to run the more open baffle on the exhaust.  Any help would be greatly appreciated before I order some new jets!

Start with the stock ones.
