Hello everyone, I'm pretty new to this moto world. Used to help build drift cars and now I figured I'd try building my first motorcycle. I have a 1976 cb750 frame with a 1974 cb750 engine.
My plans for this bike have been all over the place, I came here for some help to keep me from getting lost in my build....so far I've put on an r6 front end. And rebuilt the carbs. Took a long break from the build because I was finishing up school and just had a baby...but now I'm back to building....bought an m unit blue because I know I want to eventually put that in. And now instead of putting everything g together....I pulled the engine from the frame. So yeah...can you see I've been all over the place.

So here is my current status. My bike frame is at the shop getting some frame work done. Seat loop with led strip light and We were discussing trying to fit the r6 rear wheel on with the r6 disc brakes. Anybody know about doing this? Which swingarm, what machine work is needed? Etc. Etc.

As far as the engine goes I dont know which direction to go with it. I've read so many threads and I've thought about going with an 836cc kit. I just dont really know what goes into it entirely. Do I need different carbs if I do that? Or should I just mod my engine in a different way.

Anyways like I said I'm a noob with motorcycles so forgive me if I sound like an idiot. Just looking for someone to help steer me in the right direction.

Try https://www.dotheton.com/index.php?forums/. Lots of cafe builders there.
You only go around once in life so it might as well be on a motorcycle.

Howdy to you too.
Naw you aren't going in the wrong direction...keep going. I can't steer ya on what to do on the swingarm mods.
The 836 you can still use the stock carbs, just have to rejet once you have it running and can do plug color tests.
