Wiring HELP?
« on: February 26, 2020, 04:05:43 PM »
I’m installing a new, main harness on the Rickman Honda CR project. It’s from Vintagecb750.com and I also bought a RHS switch (lights ON-OFF switch) and a LHS switch. Some sorting to do there, but I think I have it figured...... the new 1973-76 harness has the dreaded red connector for the starter motor safety unit.

I’ve seen the post (and picture) of a single wire that connects two posts in the red connector to BYPASS it. I’ll be darned if I can find it now....... anyone? Thanks!

If you want to totally eliminate the starter safety system like the K0-K2 had, jump the solid green wire to the green/red wire at the SMSU connector.
If you want to retain the clutch and neutral switch interlocks, you can jump the green/red wire to the light green/red wire, but the neutral light will come on when the clutch lever is pulled in unless a diode is used instead of a jumper.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!
