I subscribed to it years ago. Still have several years of them in cardboard boxes.  I got tired of their conceit that their reviews were the only unbiased ones because they didn’t accept advertising. Yet their reviews contained nothing you couldn’t find in the other bike magazines.  Still too bad they went tango uniform along with so many others, victims of the interwebs.

I guess I got used to not having to navigate countless ad pages in the other mags to get to an actual article.

Any conceit aside, I did find their comparisons less of the "everybody gets an A" type.

I did like their Performance Comparison / spec  charts which let you easily compare every bike they ever tested side by side.

I cancelled Cycle World after it went to a quarterly coffee table format, and I had subscribed to it forever.

Maybe time to try Motorcycle Classics....before the internet bites it too!

I just can't see bringing a laptop along for the morning constitutional! :-\

I agree the lack of ads was nice, and maybe worth the premium you had to pay for a subscription.  Like I said, I still have boxes of them stashed away, along with Cycles, Cycle Guides, Cycle Worlds, Rider, Motorcycle, some miscellaneous Brit mags, etc. I hate to see print media dying away, but my Motorcyclist subscription must have run out because I haven’t seen one for a while. Maybe they are gone too? Their latest format was crappy anyway, apparently catering to the new readers with limited attention spans so I doubt I’ll re-up.  I really miss newspapers and grieve for the death of journalism.  Old fart disease, I guess.

...not to mention that the electronic versions don't stand in too well in the outhouse when the soft paper runs out...
