Topic: Random useless tidbit of the day: 350F side cover emblem colors

So I'm repainting some 350F side cover emblems. One of them has an orange "F" in "Four" but the others -- and to the best of my knowledge all the others that have passed through my hands -- have white "F"s. Poking around a little, it looks like the glory blue black metallic bikes had orange "F"s, the others all had white. Or... was it the '74 bikes that had orange "F"s? Anyone seen a red bike with an orange "F"? Like the title says -- rand useless tidbit.

And while I am at it, the white in the emblems and in the 550 and other emblems I have looks more like ivory than a true white. Is that fading, or did they come with more of an off-white color?

My red 1973 CB350F has white “Four” lettering on the side covers.

The side cover colours were reversed on the 1974 Black Paint scheme.

according to the identification guide, the cb350FO, side cover emblem is red and white. The "350" is red and the "Four" is white.
    The cb 350F1 is white and orange. The "350" is white and the "Four" is orange.

I've never seen a red and white one, and the FOs I've had and seen have all been orange. Wonder if that's an error?

it could be, the honda identification guide is a place to go for official info.....but it isn't error proof.
Here's the page, unfortunately it's in black and white......but you can see the white "four" and maybe what is "red" 350.....

the guide is just for U.S. imports.......and it would be easy to swap the side covers and have someone claim it's original....

not definitely orange........your side cover is obviously used and has had sun exposure
this part is brand new......definitely more red than orange compared to yours.

furthermore...this is for the 74, brand new...the four is honda orange, as stated by the identification guide...so this is what honda orange looks like.....
