Topic: Which Carburetor vacuum gauge set

This has probably been asked many times before, but what 4 gauge carburetor vacuum gauge set do you recommend.....

I have one of those liquid column type gauges. If I were to replace it, I would go with mechanical dial gauges.
Too much fiddling with getting fluid heights zeroed, and relearning how to use something I use less than once/year.

If you can find Honda they are megabucks, the Sealey are identical as far as i can see but a lot cheaper, the sets of four on blue steel with plastic tee as dampers are not worth buying

Morgan Carbtune for me too.

I had a mercury gauge for years and like it a lot, but you've got to be careful to keep it upright.

I had a motionpro blue liquid tool fo a while, that thing was horrible -- bubbles, fluctuations.

Best bang for your buck these days is the Morgan IMHO.

Is there no liquid in the Morgan? Is it accurate held at any angle?

No liquid in the Morgan. You hang it on the handlebars.

I have an old Motion Pro that works great. But, I’d get the Morgan, if shopping today.
If anyone wants to foolishly spend money (see EBay link above), I have a perfectly restored set of 1971 Honda gauges!

I use a DigiSync for carb tuning. Four channel and a built in tach. They also have a six channel for the Goldwing and CBX guy's.

It really does not matter which set of four you buy so long as you match them ideally at the operating range or position. Very simple to do too, no rocket science needed. Easier to cal when indicators are not bouncing and from an uninterrupted source of vacuum.

Another +1 for the Morgan. Works well and comes with a variety of adapters and a case.

+3 Morgan;) easy to compare  all 4 side by side.

Set  valve lashes and ignition before.
Ignition  especially if you use points. The easiest way to set points equally is with a dwell meter, then timing lamo and most likely dwell again adjusting points on an idling engine.

I'm sure you will find it running well after proper ign,  less need of carb adjustments.
