Greetings from Oregon!
« on: March 11, 2020, 10:11:11 AM »
Hello to all.  I am the new owner of a '75 CB750K.  I rode a '71 for a few months in in 1981 while stationed in Greece and loved it.  I got into BMW airheads and then kids came along and I put bikes on hold for 15 years (kept one though- a '72 R75/5).  Now that I'm a retired old guy, and the kiddos are late teens, I figured I would go for that CB750 feeling again.  Found a super clean, low miles, well maintained '75.  I'm going to put a few miles on it and see how it performs.  I need to start reading up regarding maintenance and wear items.  Jeff

Howdy Jeff and welcome aboard. I too have a similar history, though I bought a new 75 blue, had it for a year before my ex cousin totaled it, replacement was a Antaris Red 76 which I kept until 1983. It needed another rebuild which we had our 2nd child on the way so it got sold there in Vegas to a younger kid...wished I'd kept it but oh well.
25 years later got back into riding after the kids were grown and the wife left, bought and brought back to life an 83 goldwing, on my 4th wing now, an 08 and about 200,000 miles in the past 11 years.
I got another 76 a few years ago from the friend from school that bought it from my dad. I had set it up from the create for my oldest brother when I worked at the local Honda shop as parts manager in 76. Brother had to sell it so dad bought it and rode it a couple years until my friend bought it. It's a basket case now, doing a motor build and full frame off resto.
Also bought a 75 from another friend's estate a couple years ago that was an easy get running bike that I'm enjoying in the summer and fall while in NH. I've known and ride it back in 76. Great fun to be back on the 750s again isn't it! But my back won't allow my cross country rides to be on them so I ride my wing each fall out to San Diego for the winter and back in the spring taking the long way round...... Ride it safe bro. Keep your knees in the breeze. Maybe we'll meet up on the road someday.
