Yup, just not good at all. Don't they know race bikes can blow the virus off?

And likely not the last one either.  The big issue for the smaller, under financed teams is going to be survival, as a large portion of their money comes from 'appearance fees'.  No races, no income.  I'm sure this is also going to be an issue for many Moto teams as well.

Has not been announced yet, but I bet Indycar will cancel/postpone the race at COTA next month.

Breaking news overnight: two confirmed cases of the virus in Austin.
My office encouraged me to work remotely at home. ok!  [I'm working hard!]

There's enough methanol, nitro, and tire smoke in the air at most drag events it's a wonder us racers even survive the atmosphere! We're drag racers FCOL! When did we become such a bunch of nervous Nelly namby pambies?  :o  ;)  ;D

So what's next? I suppose they will cancel the ManCUP event at my home track here in Orlando next month...  :(

They already issued a statement about the Man Cup race  Wilbur. Simply saying they were monitoring the situation and would make an announcement as we get closer to the event.  The VW race I was supposed to compete in on sunday just got canceled. I have a big work related meeting the 1st part of next month that I will likely postpone. The majority of the attendees are over 60 years of age. These are the most vulnerable to the virus. I'm not taking chances with exposure of 200 people by an untested carrier

As long as you stay in the nitro smoke, the virus can't get you, very strange if it can ;)
Another thing with all spectators from all over the country meeting other people during the trip to the event.

I think it is better to be too safe than not. Next year hopefully better without anything from the virus factory in Wuhan.
Todays many travels and people from infected areas suddenly can travel.
China was a closed country not long ago. Middle class people  with sallary enough to travel abroad even later. Plus lots of business travels from western companies to low cost suppliers in infected areas.

They should have health tests before leaving such areas. Same with people going into that part of the world and going back home.
If not it will happen again.

I was in China in April last year, 2 weeks in Shanghai working. I'm happy I did not stepped into a virus nest that time. 3 weeks 2007, 1 week travel to south and north visiting customers  beside the 2 weeks in Shanghai where I worked with people from most of the other Southeast Asian countries.

I do not want to go there again after this sh!t. It lures over there, a bat + another animal mixed with a hungry local with low hygien care will start another breed of death!!  :(

I have parts for an engine build, partly thanks to Mike ;)

I need to send a primary hub for new rubbers and primary tensioners to Germany for upgrade. Lets hope they are healthy.
Then all to build an engine ;)

Take my K6 billet block out for a ride tomorrow. I have to know if carb adjustments are good.
No ride today, weather not good enough. Need sunshine and at least +8C
