Looks like it. That was a "hop up mod" in 1980.

Today you can take the CB750 DOHC stock-bore pistons and cut a 1/2" flat around their outer edge (of the crown) to clear the valves, and net a 9.6:1 CR in the early heads (with a 1.0mm overbore, first).

The good looking stock rims, right?
DID in an oval beside the tube valve.
Those rims have smoother sides.

I know to guys that have just restored 2 CB750's.
I understand why they re-chromed rims, fenders etc. New chrome look like stock nos parts polished and covered with clear coat.

I ordered new rims to my K6 1979/80. I got the later with D.I.D stamped on the sides together with size.
