cb750 camshaft end bolt torque?
« on: March 14, 2020, 07:20:03 PM »
Installing a new webcam.

Is there a special torque spec for the camshaft end bolt that holds the washer on the end?
Number 7 here: http://www.hondachopper.com/engine/fiche_pages/F0/F0-Camshaft_Towers.pdf

Or just follow the 8mm torque spec of 14.5 ft-lbs? use some red loctite?

Be careful holding the cam....don't snap a flange off (I have seen it done) ::) Blue loctite is fine Matt....just clean the bolt and hole with brake cleaner before assembly.

Thanks Mike! Will be careful and go to 14 ft-lbs with blue loctite
