Yeah, working with public servants, it's like a scene from "The Walking Dead" every day. Most seem to spend their days on their mobile phones, and talking about "voluntary redundancy". When I started this gig I worked along with 5 APS "Inventory" staff, who have all left (on promotion) so I've inherited all their work, and I'm hardly busy, so God only knows what they did to fill their days............

We are finally seeing the light here in SC. Beaches close tomorrow. 60 days to start. Charleston college was told to come clean out the dorms. Too many out of towners coming in cause we were still open. I have shut down my cleaning services as its definitely not needed. My Wife manages a Liquor store! I fear for her but people are spending 1500$ a Customer occasionally. At least she will have the keys if its shuttered!

This is not like a common flu, cold.
It is a serious pneumonia and should have been named like that from the very beginning!

If deadly pneumonia has been the message, everyone had listened up and taken measures much earlier.

Like how to treat a burning forest. "It will stop by itself no biggie". React too late after a village or 2 have burned down is way too late.

Then time to find out that fire fighting  material is missing, hoses, trucks people etc.

We had a forest fire not far away from me summer 2014 they neglected the first 24 hours by incompetence.
We had finally help from Italy sending 2 special aircrafts  that could scope up water from lakes and bomb the huge fire.

That area is now a place worth a visit with great views without trees. Tourist buses are often seen there.
 I have taken som photos of my bikes there.
No villages burned down, fire was stopped a few meters from some houses.

Got a message last night to stay home, bummer, I really wanted to get up at 5am on a cool Monday morning, and sit around waiting to catch the bug from one of my co-workers. The cost to our governments is absolutely enormous, thousands of folks losing their jobs every day with the government telling every non essential service to close. The government has doubled welfare payments for the duration, so will be borrowing more money from the country that gave us the virus. If I was the government, I wouldn't pay them back.

It has earmarks of being an engineered virus and if so we know who created it. Can you imagine the backlash if that were proven. The China leadership would be decimated by that backlash.
How many naturally occurring viruses only affect older people and leave the very young all but immune?

Those partying college kids in America on the beaches are having reports of clusters of them having contracted the virus. Not sure if it is true as I haven't researched it. But it seriously wouldn't surprise me.  What America is talking about doing for everyone giving out money is pretty huge. The panic by some is incredible. Saw an interview of one of the Federal Reserve chairs of one site saying that they were authorized to inject cash freely and give banks money for anything they need. Businesses whom have excellent credit cannot get loans now. It is going to get really ugly. Stock markets are decimating lots of Americans  retirement invested in the markets...making their retirement future bleak or not viable for much longer.

So, we could be looking at some really scary stuff ahead and lasting impacts to everyone's lives for several years even after they come up with a cure and people develop a vaccine. So many in America are against vaccines so what happens for them? Do they become carriers or are they eliminated. Then consider how effective the vaccines are... If the virus mutates much the vaccines are playing catch-up and might merely lessen the severity.  The bad cases are quickly getting a pneumonia like infection with fibrosis or similar stuff in the lungs and the mucus mis blocking the meds from doing they jobs until they can lessen that mucus. All kinds of false claims about how to fight the virus with remedies that are pure fabrication.

We have reports about young before healthy people, now in hospital and respiratory care.

This is not like a "common" flu usually taking out elders or weakened people, it is an infectious severe pneumonia deadly for many.

I should not be suprised if this is a designed weapon on the loose, accidently or on purpose.

The typical winers are silent now. Usually blaming Mr Trump, Putin, Global warming and meat eaters for everything.
