Alright, it's been a bit. Been graduating school finally out here and now it's time to get this thing finished along.
This may be a long post getting up to speed with parts and photo dumps so here we go.
The bike shortly after i got it...
Added rear hoop, cross braced, seam welded, and weldless frame kit.
I sourced a sub 10k mile motor from a forum member last august. Spent a few days cleaning it up and repainting it in a Nu-Cast Aluminum color. These side covers were just used for masking, have alternatives that will be vapor honed.
CycleX oil line adapters.
Randakks oil filter adapter.
I'll be running an oil pressure gauge up top with my regular gauges.
CycleX manual cam chain tensioner.
Rebuilt rear drum with EBC shoes.
Lighter, yamaha rotors from a fellow forum member here.
One of two calipers to assemble, lighter and milled out, phenolic pistons, ebc pads.
18 inch, front and rear via Buchanan's
IKON shocks, these are factory 13.33 inch which have just been replaced with a 14 inch set they made up for me to get the correct geometry with the 18's.
Steering dampener.
Fork legs, all cleaned up.
Drilled out pushrods.
RaceTech internals.
New seals and stanchions.
And all stuffed into the factory 35mm forks.
Velocity stacks, yes there will be filters over these.
Oil tank internals example A.
Oil tank internals example B.
Oil tank internals example C.
And we've got an oil tank!
And an aft mounted vent / catch can!
An idea for new motor mounts, may of spent too much time admiring Matt's bike out at Gingerman this past summer... and got a bit inspired.
Motor mounts machined on a HAAS 3 axis machine, front left, front right, and rear right.
LOTs to do but this is where we're at today. I'll be working along on the fuel tank form and aluminum work next, adding a few mount tabs on the frame for the oil cooler, oil tank, and exhaust hanger. Then off to powder coat.
