There was allot of work that went into the first bike with the sidecar....especially as an introduction to 2 new riders of that age... boy, is that Dad gonna be pi$$ed when those boys  tell him that they just smashed into his Volkswagen .
Hope he taught them the basics on some dirt bikes or a t least a 4 wheeler first.
 Those poor kids.
A few Honda 500's, a few Honda 550's, a few Honda 650's, '72 cb 450, a couple 500/550/650 hybrids, and 2001 750.

I can't say that I'm too keen to see my grand kids on a bike.
Some years ago my stepson and his mate where very keen to take up road racing and asked if they could use my P4 sidecar.
My answer was an emphatic NO.
I told them I would help them out if they wanted to build themselves a dirt track chair and sure enough I now have a half finnished bike sitting at the back of my shed.
Dave's right, nobody should try to induce a love for motorcycles.
If kids have a real interest they will fuel their own passion and be much better off for it.
The older I get the faster I was.

That’s a great point but I started at age 7 and lost interest ages 15-21. Now I’m here on the forum and I buy & maintain all my dads bikes ;)

My middle daughter (13) and Son (5) are both very interested.  They both see mine, try to sit on them, ect.  So I when I picked up the early XR75, my daughter claimed it instantly.  Over the winter I picked up a late model XR80 for her, and with a little more work, She'll be on it soon.  As far as the little guy.  those electric balance bikes that Harley bought last year look pretty interesting.  Around here, they're cheaper than a used, beat up PW50 and quieter too... and appear to be about the same level of speed.  Hmm....

Ding, ding, ding! Other than riding safe Dave has the absolute best advice.

My wife just bought an XR70R for our grandkids, someone will grow into it and want to ride. Since the virus lockdown here my 3.5 year old grandson wants to see Papa. He has a toy crane so when he's here I let him pick things up with the cherry picker. We did a facetime but that just makes it better that day. The last time we were there he whispered Papa, we go to your house now.
