I heard that she did it to confuse the ghosts of people killed by Winchester firearms. Apparently there are doors and stairs that go nowhere...

we, personally, haven't had many changes. Being retired with no responsibilities, our income is more than sufficient and is a " guaranteed " source.
However, it's hard to see some family members that have had jobs ended , threatened, or incomes reduced. No one has had the virus....yet...
On a lot less relevance scale, a few concours motorcycle shows I was going to attend have been cancelled. The gyms were closed. Some travel has been postponed for this time period, eating out has just now been restrictively restored.....trivial...but funny how you miss things you didn't notice before.
I count myself as extremely lucky in that I had to have 3 different medical procedures spaced out since last june, with the last one squeezed in this past Feb.....I can't imagine the feeling of having to be in a hospital with no one allowed to come........

Still working at a place that has a weekly case of the virus popping up and still no shutdown......"wees bees essential"......probably 35-40 confirmed cases.

Another plant down the road had 2 cases, and immediately shutdown. Their employees getting 100% paid....my neighbor being one of those workers.

If it ain't raining, I'm riding.....~~{iii}?~~prost

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, it's because I cut and pasted from someone else.

WW2 ended 71yrs ago today.
We lost my last surviving uncle passed away in April the funeral was limited to 10 mourners.
He  was was a fighter  pilot in the Pacific.
I'm feeling a little melancholy this evening, he was the last of eight brothers.
The older I get the faster I was.

Both of those are correct. She was quite the whacko!

The woman who had the Wrigley fortune was pretty goofey too. Her estate was what is now Point Loma University. The student center when viewed from the air resembles a giant sea turttle because she believed that was what she would be reincarnated as after she died!

God rest his soul, Bear. Family reunion for him, he is with his brothers. They don't make a lot like him any more.

We owe those guys so much. I'm an airplane guy, do you know what he flew? F4U, F6F, P-38....?

Yep, I didn't want to write the whole history of the Winchester House, but it is fascinating. ;D

It is sad Brian, but the family can always get together for a memorial service once this CV crap is over. At least it's not like some other parts of the world where there are so many dying they don't have enough cemeteries to bury them in.

I have a photo of my uncle in that plan. We live an hour from Temora.
Lawrence was invited to an event at their museum by the Lowery's, I got a chance to do a circuit in a Canberra Bomber.
Quite an experience.

we're going to digress on the thread here, but planes were my life.....The canberra is still in service with NASA....I've ridden in a B-17...flown an AT-6, a P-40, and a stearman.  Merlins, packards, allisons, and radials...nothing sounds sweeter....

It is what it is Uncle Tez.
We're proud of he and his brother, Norman who I've mentioned here before.
They where the recipients  of three DFM'S and one DFC between them.

That's a pretty impressive haul Brian, I hope the family has those medals framed and on display.

Lawrence's decorations are with his eldest son.
Norm was asked for and gifted his medals, the shot up doors from his turret, a brass bust, and portrait to Canberra's War Memorial.

I'm slipping of topic on this thread so I'll see if I can track down some background on them and post it on the pissed off thread.

G'Day Bill, no mate, no pipe, but I have a nice chrome 4 into 1 that I bought on Ebay a few years ago that I'm hoping will fit, (no idea what it came off) as it's a nice looking pipe. This will be my third F2, the first was a brilliant "one owner" bike that was magnificent to ride except when it was wet, and it'd miss and fart horribly, turned out the ignition key switch was letting moisture in, the second was a full resto that I converted to take a K6 top end and was eventually magnificent too, so for all the crap I hang on F's (especially F0/F1's, equally as ugly as the K7/8 Honda mistake) I do have some fond memories of my F2's. ;D

F2 build thread?

Yes mate, there will have to be a thread, even if it's only a "clean up" thread as opposed to a full build thread, as I'm still treating it as a flip, along with Spotty's K7. Over here a clean, good running CB750 (even an F or K7/8) starts at around $4K USD, so they'll help recoup some of the cash I've been pissing up against the wall on Z1 parts......... ;D
