PD51A carbs in a CB750
« on: March 22, 2020, 12:53:20 PM »
I'm building two CB750's and only have one set of round top carbs. I have a nice set of PD51A's which I understand were fitted to the CB650Z model.
It looks like these will physically fit, so I'm wondering if I jet them up could I use them or will the power loss be too great ?

PD carbs are horrible to clean and keep clean plus pilot jets are not easy to get
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Thanks Bryan - yeah, I'm aware of their reputation but this set was really clean to begin with and I have the pilot jets out already.
I plan on selling this bike to fund the other so I'm not too worried about optimum performance, as long as it runs well.
