De-clutter the wiring?
« on: March 15, 2020, 12:30:49 AM »
Anyone got any tips on how best to connect the multiple devices that link to a single m-unit output. For example, front, rear and speedo lights for left and right turn signals. Do you just do a crimp, splice, some sort of connector etc? I'm trying to minimise the network of wires as much as possible. Thanks

Indicators have their own output L and R on the mUnit.

Instrument power, license plate bulb, and IGN can all be run from AUX on mUnit 2.0 or separately on mUnit Blue with the IGN port.

If you are attempting to use a stock harness mated to an mUnit, that is a boondoggle.

My original question wasn't phrased very well sorry.  The left indicator output on the m-unit has three destinations.  Front,  rear and speed idiot light.  Some of the other outputs also have multiple destinations.  I was wondering how people are building their harnesses to make these connections as neat as possible.  Thanks

Run one wire forward to each indicator. Splice in a branch at the front for the cluster. Run a separate wire rearward. Same on each side.
