Topic: m unit install for dummies

Could someone please point me in the direction of an m unit install guide. I've got a limited history of wiring and electrical on cars and motorcycles but I need a starting point on what all I need to install a m-unit, lithium battery, signals etc. on my Cb750F 1978.

even just a wiring diagram with a legend on what all the abbreviations are for would be a great start.

What does G stand for ?

R/R stand for ?

M stand for ?

The box with the 2 circle and squiggly line above M stand for ? (guessing the starter)

between R/R and the battery is that a fuse?

G is for generator/stator.
R/R is for regulator/rectifier.
M is starter motor.
The box above M is the starter solenoid.
Look again...inline fuse is going to M-Lock.

Think this is the same schematic I used when wiring up mine. The only thing I can't recall is the inline fuse but I have a ton on my mind right now. I am using version 2, M-Lock, M-Blaze turn signals, one three Motogadget push button, one two button, and the Motoscope gauge. This was the first time I had done a full wiring job. It was a little daunting but not impossible and I love how it turned out.

bar switches I plan on using

I put this together to get my build finished up.  I drew this to fit my needs.  It may be a good start for you.

In the drawing i use a ground bar.  I made this on up custom.   Worked great with Ferrell leads,  which by the way are freekin great!
