Use a pick and gently poke (not scrape) between out or inner walls all around to loosen, then I stab the centre of the gasket with the pick and pry out in direction or gasket, not the walls.

If your talkin cb750 roundtops (pretty sure you are not, but you didn't say)...just leave the damn original ones alone!  They will work fine and you won't get anything better.

 It seems a lot of them can be reused, but if they are sloshing fuel out or you just want the new ones I'd try a small amount of heat, like from a hair dryer.

  I will second that ! Of all my 750's I have worked on the only one I had to replace with an old original was a rubber aftermarket piece of crap.

this is for a 400, only two of the bowls have gaskets , and I have a new set of 4 ready to go. The gaskets are only gona come out in crumbs, I'm afraid.

What I've noticed when rebuilding them is: if they were used during the era of MTBE gas (USA junk) they lost all their resilience and can leak fuel past them when the bike's on the sidestand. Then you don't have a lot of choices...I've had pretty good luck (so far) with the ones PartsNmore is selling as 'per each' gaskets. There are some out there (labelled "Made in Japan", not so sure about that...) that can delaminate themselves when exposed to gasahol.
