Just received this NOS new points plate and one of the points is completely out of position. Can this be bend back into position and still work? How should I go about bending it? Bend the arm or the base post? Thanks

Yep, that can be fixed: grab it across the flange with a pair of needlenose pliers and twist it to the right (clockwise) as you look at it. I got a set like that a few years back, looked like the UPS guy drove over the box it came in (or something...). They ran fine afterward. Try to get the pads as parallel as possible. If you happen to be using the Transistor Ignition, then all you need to do is get it close enough to time-up correctly and the box will take care of it from there. In my prototype years (6) with the serial#1 Transistor Ignition (Terry got the #1) with the Daiichi points I used then, they looked kind of like your picture before I got them to time-up correctly, but they ran OK for the whole time.

Thanks. I will try to do as you described. Yes, I will be running your ignition module with this bike and hopefully with this points plate. Still trying to source the correct advancer/bolt/nut to make it right. A check is in the mail to you for the ignition module.
