Remove idler and look inside with flashlight.Not found, flip engine over keep level with block, remove oil pan and look.
Maybe some compressed air shot shot down the cam tunnel will get it moving downward if you cannot get eyes on it.

It worked! I fired up the compressor last night and 15 minutes later it was out. I blew from the top and then the bottom and then tilted the case around and blew from the top again and it came out. What a relief. That will never happen again.
