Newbie with 73 cb750
« on: March 13, 2020, 08:20:09 PM »
Hello everyone,

I wanted to share with you my 1973 cb750. I've owned this bike for about a year now and it's my first street bike. Many hours spent in my cold, upstate New York garage wrenching on this machine. I hope to have it ready by spring!

MD,

I do have a set of work lights and that's a good idea :). I was going to get a propane tank with the top of tank heater element but I've been putting all my spare cash into the build haha. Next winter for sure !!

Harbor Freight sells a big round white electric heater that works well: I have mine on in the garage all winter long. It's about $60, I think? I point it at the engine I plan to work on, and it is nice and warm while I work on it.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Hello Hondaman,

It's a pleasure sir and thanks for the reply. I have your book and it has helped me in my journey for sure. I'll have to check that heater out.
Thanks again!

Nice bike!  I ran a seat very similar on my CB750 build. Is that seat the one off Ebay? I found it to be comfortable surprisingly!  I can relate to the cold, it's just starting to warm up here...  :)

Thank you, I did a dual rotor swap right before I sold it. The headlight ears are off Amazon I believe, I've also seen them on Ebay.
