750 K3 Keihin carbs question
« on: April 01, 2020, 10:03:25 AM »
Hi guys, I'm building a 750 k3 that has round top Keihin carbs that I've cleaned up bit i need to source a set of needle jet holders as they were missing.

Anyone know if holders from a k7 would fit? Bit of nightmare trying to get hold of  originals.

Cheers
Nick

k7 came with totally different carbs from the factory, so no, those won't work.  Any roundtops from k1-k6 (71-76) will work for you
If it works good, it looks good...

Thanks for the help, guess I'll keep hunting.
Wish i knew if any aftermarket ones out there will do, as the needle seat bit is there in the carb throat and the pilot is stock size I'm hoping to find some jet needle holders that are compatible... ho hum

Just send the carbs to Hondaman for a rebuild and drink the beer.

You can find new and used OEM and new aftermarket holders on eBay. Cost anywhere from $9 to $40 each.
You only go around once in life so it might as well be on a motorcycle.

Well I've been scouring eBay and found no aftermarket holders just overpriced nos ones. I can't afford those prices so just hoping that someone somewhere can come to my aid... not urgent as have plenty other things to do on the bike in the meantime, so just putting it out there for now...
