1972 Honda CB350F choke issues

The choke lever on my 1972 CB350F has a tendency to spring closed when put in the open position. I’m stumped. I might have to install a spring or string to keep it opened. Any advice? See video.

There should be a ballbearingball with a spring behind the lever mechanism to keep it clicked open....

That’s it, ball/spring is missing. Thanks

Just so you know, I tried using the spring from a ball-point pen for the choke on my 400, and it isn't nearly stiff enough for what is needed here.
