Henry Abe wheel id markings
« on: July 12, 2020, 02:20:31 AM »
Hi all, I am trying to identify with certainty if the wheels I have are Henry Abes original o replicas.

The front has a stamp saying HBINDUSTRIES but I can’t find it on the rear. I thought maybe it would be under the tyre.

Any idea as to what and where to look for it?

They are 19” front and 18” rear with drum. Here are some photos of them, pretty dirty still.

Thanks in advance.

I can’t imagine that someone made Henry Abe reproductions. The only markings on my NOS Abe rims are the rim size, “N-DOT”, and the words “Japan”.
Rim is rear disc model for a 750F.
FYI, the rim is 2 pounds heavier than the stock wire wheel..

Thanks David, it looks like they all had some different markings. Some only had Japan.

I just saw this.  My rear has no markings but my front has the wheel size, what I think is a date code and HAINDUSTRY JAPAN.  Here are the pics of the markings on my front wheel.  You're wheels are Henry Abe.

Thanks, I had them powder coated in silver metallic and polished the outside edge.  Mine looked like yours before powder coating.
