Hey Stev-o. Thanks for that but the drawings don't show the pin. 1979 GS 550. It's on the end of the crank. RH side.

Hi there again. Scott here. 1979 GS550 Suzuki. Can someone tell me where the oil pressure sender switch is located on my bike. I put power to it last night & gauges powered up but the oil pressure warning light did not come on. Any ideas on this? I really need to get a repair manual. Thanks. :)

That's a Great deal for the seat and tank from Scott S  :) Was it difficult to finally break your seized engine free ?

Not really. I put the transmission in high gear & rocked the rear wheel. That got it unstuck. I had put marvel mystery oil in the cylinders & let that sit for a few days. I'm concerned about cylinder #1 though. It had water in it. I still need to do a compression test. Hopefully the engine is ok. I wish I hadn't started to try to free the engine up from the RH side. As I mentioned in an earlier post I managed to break the little dowel pin on the RH end of the crank that turns the points cam. :(  I still need to repair that. Oh & Scott S is an awesome guy. Yes the parts he sold me is really a good deal. I'm very happy. :)

 I also wanted to mention that I had a motorcycle mechanic tell me to tap on the cylinder heads with a rubber mallet. The shock vibrations helped the Marvel Mystery oil to do its job & penetrate & help free the pistons. Seemed to make sense to me so I tried it. Anyway the engine is unstuck.

Good morning all. I have decided to pull the engine apart. I did another compression test this weekend. #1 has 35 lbs, #2 has 110 lbs, #3 has 110 lbs, #4 has 0. I put some oil in #1 & the compression came way up. Bad rings. That's the cylinder that had water in it. Don't understand whats going on with #4. Stuck valve maybe. I did a leak down test on it & I hear air blowing though the intake side. I'll know more when I pull the head off. The dual camshafts are a little intimidating to me though. To Steve O. I did get the service manual you told me to get. It's a Clymer manual & it's a big help. Thanks for the tip.
