Topic: Mini speedo high beam indicator

I have installed a dime city mini speedo with LED indicators and also a bates style headlight

I am having the issue that the high beam indicator is always on. It is dim with the low beam on and brighter with the high beam on. With the high beam on, both the low and high beam wires on the headlight plug have power which is causing my issue.

My question is - why do both these wires have power, and can I just simply install a resistor so it doesn't trip the indicator light with low beam?

Sounds like your headlight switch may need cleaning, I doubt both hi and low beam should have power at the same time. In fact there should be a visible (dark) dip when slowly switching from low to hi beam.

The headlight is wired incorrectly. There are 3 terminals on the headlight: one is a common ground, one is low,
and one is high. The ground terminal is connected to either the low or high wire, instead of the ground wire.
