Nice pipes! They make the bike. I love the photos of your shop too.

I have shop envy.
Great bike, glad to see stock type pipes on it.

Thanks for the shop comments. It is a comfortable man cave especially with the virus around. My wife says it's the most sterile place in the house.

After replacing the right handlebar switch I decided to pull apart and check the left switch which actually looks like it was already replaced. Exterior is nice and black compared to the old right hand switch which was all gray. The interior of the left switch looks new and it is working great. Put some dielectric grease in there and good to go. Got the new floats so will be installing those along with new float bowl gaskets.

Nothing like new floats...got rid of the brass ones. I did keep all the OEM brass in the carbs.

Thanks Brad! I thought you were going to make the trip to Oshkosh sometime to check out the shop. Bring a trailer...I am selling some bikes now to make room for the 1970 Chevelle SS 396.

Today I installed the new OEM intakes, TEC points and Honda condensers. Excellent tight blue spark on each. This week I will set the floats, install the carbs, air box and fire this K1 up for the first time. I expect it to go well. Will be a bit cool here in WI . Glad I don't live up north as they are saying maybe 14 inches of snow.

Today was the day we all dream of...installed the carbs, airbox and fired it up with my auxiliary tank. Patina 2 started with hardly any choke and went right to a nice idle. I was expecting it to quit and cough or something. Especially because I have not even checked the timing yet. I decided to take it on the road for a real test. Gosh dang...she ran like a new bike. Never missed a beat from 0-70 MPH. I was really surprised as it usually does not go this smooth. You know, the first start up you end up maybe pulling the carbs again to adjust the floats again, etc. This time I had a nice 10 mile ride on the highway and city and she just purred along nice and smooth. I did install a new electronic flasher which took care of the erratic blinkers. Next I will install the side covers and gas tank for some pics. This candy gold K1 is about ready for some lucky new owner.

Fuel tank cleaned, new gas cap seal installed, new petcock and OEM seat installed. Now she looks like a bike. The plan is to put at least a 100+ miles on it to be sure she is ready to go to a new owner just in time for the riding season.

The patina bike was sold last week to a very happy local buyer. I appreciated everyones help, expertise and comments during this project. I am still amazed at how great she ran right from the first start up.
