It's more and less standard here, except for some very smallest villages at the country side.

The otherwise bad government invested in fiber broadband to be digged down into the ground all over the country from around 2004.

Some areas together with hot water distribution to houses also routed in the ground. Power distribution too.

I served in the U.S.Navy (as medic) during the Viet Nam War Sam..and feel that the current level of concern about Corona virus (yes..world-wide) does not even approach the level of casualties or human suffering that we saw then. Yes people are dying and the virus seems to be very contagious. As a comparison (which I'm not old enough to remember clearly)..some of my older English friends have said that this doesn't even approach the level of harm that they saw during WW II.
Best of health and happiness Sam!

Al, the US death toll is now over 50k in less than three months; in Viet Nam the total was something like 56k IIRC, and that was over a 10 year plus time span??
BTW, the Spanish flu of 1918 killed more people in the US than ALL of the wars we've been in. :o

Yes, you are right, lots of idiots without capability to think can do that here. Gather on restaurants and cafes spreading the virus to others.

I really hope they will get it and die in pain, not elders or others  staying home they will pass it too. Responsible politicians need to get it too. Ebola is probably next "flu" to be exposed for.

I'm working from home since over a month. Not meeting friends. I should have had a haircut over a month ago.

Fuel cost much less so good idea with rides. I have soon finalized my long series of carb jetting :D
Jets are transported from Netherlands.

I found too late I could find them in Sweden for less and much quicker shipping. Jets for snowmobiles that also use Mikuni carbs and real Mikuni jets, square in square logo before the size number.

Been cutting my own hair for a couple years, bought a set of trimmers like the barbers would use and I keep it simple. Usually a 4 on the sides and a 6-7 on top...depending on the weather. Once every 3-4 weeks and I will get a friend to square up the back and behind the ears every couple months.
Saves a bit of money and I can keep from getting shaggy. We are in high 90s this week and up into low 100s next week. It feels good because of the low humidity. I love the desert.

I have a hair cutting machine since 20 years when I dated a woman that could cut. Educated hairdresser.

I'll let my wife try it on my head this weekend.
I might walk around with helmet on after that! :D

Hi Scott.  Sorry for the late reply here.  Just checked SOHC4 site today..after few days hiatus.
Agree with you that the numbers in US are nothing to take lightly..and seem to be rising (somewhat) in recent days. Some States now relaxing some of the lock-down measures it seems..  But looks like it will take a while for both the numbers to go down significantly..and for public panic aspect to also calm down.  It's the last part here..that I was mainly trying to emphasize in my comments to Sam.
As far as my Viet Nam service comments were concerned..I was only trying to point out that the suffering and outright killing involved in that PR fiasco..seemed much more psychologically harmful [lot of former vets still dealing with PTS issues ]..than what seems to me to be involved with Covid thing..at least from a public hysteria perspective. BUT..that aspect may come back to bite a lot of us..if when this Covid thing subsides (which it will eventually..I feel) ends up causing a lot of similar PTS issues.
Anyway..feel none of this should be simply laughed-off as trivial..because it isn't..in terms of human suffering. But as an old vet myself..I have to say that it helps nothing to become fearful of what 'might happen' in situations like this..and the best outcomes seem to come from facing facts and conditions squarely..and dealing with them accordingly. [BTW: the numbers of US casualities in Viet Nam were around 58,000.  But number of Viet Namese casualities were over 2 million..including small children and women]
Like a lot of you..I'm really looking forward to this Covid thing becoming a more manageable and less threatening thing of the past.

Hi Jerry..

Hope things continue to go well where you're at presently. Colorado seems to be still one of the States that contrary to statistics and real world risks of getting Covid 19 here..is acting like we're New York or Italy (?) Guess we can't expect much more from a current Governor who for all his best intentions..bought his election largely with personal funds..and comes from ultra liberal Boulder County.

Which brings me to your comment about how we beekeepers have been doing through all of the lockdowns..et al. [which our illustrious new Governor has zero understanding about nor his gay husband (who's lobbied Colorado congress to ban the use of pesticides?)..and both lacking understanding about what's really needed here for bees or beekeepers in Colorado BTW

Sorry..didn't mean to get political here..but feel what's happening for us beekeepers here is similar to what's happening with the Covid thing: Too many 'ideologues' and those with little to no understanding of how science works...or what the significance of statistics are..compared to opinions..trying to call the shots for the rest of us.

Practically speaking..as the beekeeping season progresses here..most of us are on-track to get our hives inspected/up-and-running for this season. My schedule was put back by about a month here (re-queening/starting new hives @ beginning of June..rather than May..as originally planned).  There has been some impact from the Covid shutdowns for us beekeepers (mainly a matter of help available)..but generally speaking..most beekeepers are fairly independent (not unlike a lot of us old bikers BTW)..so the beekeeping situation in the US and other countries this season..seems to be on-track..as usual.

Did that answer your question Bro?

__________________________

Be glad when we are all through this current freak-out period about Covid..something that should have never become the the PR fiasco it has..I feel. When all is said and done..I believe that about half..if not more of the social distancing restrictions and shut-downs will be revealed to have been unnecessary.

We're all going to die at some point in time (military service certainly brought that home to me). We should appreciate and celebrate the time we have in this life..I believe. On the other hand..I believe that we should not get freaked-out when we are faced with the inevitability of our own mortality/death (but should take reasonable precautions to not hasten that process LOL). Life..Death..Impermanence. Those are some basic principles that my Zen practice has taught me.

Be healthy..

It look like incompetence is the general problem with too many leaders worldwide. They do not know what to do. They act like 14 years old girls and blame their mistakes on others. Mistakes since they cannot listen what people say and common sense.

Easier to blame those people for be hateful in any means. Too many left oriented idiots that have too much influence to ruin a working city, country....

People has to think by themselves and understand what to do and not.

Soon time to live in an anti zombie equipped 4WD camper van, alu foil insulated cap.... :D
