Hi from Fareham, Hampshire. UK.
« on: April 17, 2020, 02:50:23 PM »
Hi all.
Have recently started working on my project CB400/4 and can see from looking at a few threads that there is a wealth of experience and knowledge here. So here I am as a registered member and keen as mustard to start harvesting that information. :D

So why a 400/4?
This is the bike that kindled my love of bikes. My late father had one when I was a nipper and it was absolutely stunning in Bright red with the gorgeous sweeping 4 in to 1 pipes and shiny bits all over the place, It was the first motorcycle i had ever been on and I was in love. This bike has made me have 36 bikes so far, so number 37 will be this 400/4. One she is finished she will look great alongside my White VTR1000 SP2 and Repsol colour CBR1000RR Blade.

This is my first Project / Restoration and have already started stripping the motor after removing from the Chassis. The only previous engine work experience I have had was a rebore and new piston for an RD350 YPVS back in 1999 so this is a daunting challenge for me.

Anyway, Looking forward to learning a thing or two on here and sharing my experiences as I no doubt make a hash of a few things along the way lol.

Cheers.
Rich.

34 Bikes later I decide that Honda are the best. Now I have 3 of em, VTR SP2, 2016 Blade, and the Project 400/4.

Welcome to the forum! I'm from Iowa, but used to spend several weeks a year around Fareham and Titchfield completing testing on GSM cell phone modules. Nice area, has been several years since I have sat in pub with a pint in my hand!
