Hi!

Hi! I’m Pete, I’ve got a Honda CB400 import on an K reg (which dates it as a 1992 as far as DVLA are concerned). I’m doing a project on it with my brother who lives a long way away. He’s going halves with the money and we’ll split any profit if/when we sell it. He got it for free from a bloke he knows, it was in a pretty bad state but I’ve got it through its first MOT now. I cleaned the carbs out (first time I’ve done it!), cleaned and re bled the brakes, and taped the loose indicator back up with duck tape. It then failed the first attempt at the MOT and needed its forks straightening with new seals, the coolant system bleeding with a couple of new O rings fitting, and a bolt to hold the tank down replacing (as it was missing!). It runs lovely now though, and I’ve been enjoying commuting on it to work in the sunshine. The plan is to cut the rear subframe out and put a flat seat on it, as well as put new higher wide bars on it and do a street tracker type build. I don’t want to go mad on it and I don’t want it to be less useable so I’m going to leave the air box alone, even though I really like the look of pod filters straight into carbs. I’ve joined this forum for inspiration and advice, as I used to have a Yamaha TTR 250 and the forum for them was excellent. Thanks for having me! Pete
