Engine guard worth while
« on: April 25, 2020, 02:26:29 AM »
G’day

Sorry a bit bored not riding my bike so I was looking at it.

A couple of years ago I was out riding by myself on a weekend away. I had organised a ride the week before with a dozen mates or so but pulled out at the last minute.

The following weekend I did the same ride by myself to a pub in Coolah. There is a pub sort of on the way at Casilise. Then you can take a dirt road from there to get back on track to Coolah.

Well my bike feel over while I was riding it on that dirt road by myself and engine guard saved me a bigger headache and I only broke the side cover badge.

Vote one for engine guards.

That style of engine guard though limited in your pic looks pretty nice on bikes especially when the chrome is good. I cannot remember how many of those big hoops that were popular at one time that I have taken off bikes that I have bought. Those don't look to hot.  All boils down if a person wants that added insurance if a fall was t happen.

My CB450 has those big hoop ones.  I only took the foot pegs off the hoops so it looks cooler. did I do a good job?

It's odd, I have one of those for my sandcast but don't use it because I don't want to remove the original bolts. lol.
