Accelerator Pump Nozzles
« on: April 25, 2020, 08:08:28 PM »
Hey guys,

Rebuilt the carbs and accelerator pump few weeks back and bench tested all 4 brass nozzles that shoot fuel into the venturi, which were all operating normal. Placed it in a clear plastic bag so no dust or matter would get in, fast forward to today figure I'd test it out before I throw it back on the bike and nozzles from carb's 3 and 4 were clogged. Took off the #2 bowl and shot some compressed air into the inlet on the bottom of the #2 carb and it and seemed to unclog rather effortlessly? Also sprayed carb cleaner through a straw into the inlet to confirm clear passage and all 3 and 4 seemed fine.

They worked perfectly fine a few weeks ago before I bagged it and set it aside to work on other things, can't really think of any reason why it would get clogged just by sitting there for a few weeks. Is there something that could be causing it to clog, or is there any solution to keep them from clogging up so easily? Just wondering because last thing I wanna do is not ride my bike for a few weeks to have the nozzles clog up again.  Thanks!
