Has anyone heard from MoMo?
« on: April 19, 2020, 10:22:33 PM »
Like the title says, has anyone heard from MoMo (Larry) lately? He hasn't been active since Dec. I sent him a PM recently, but haven't gotten any response..

Sean and I talked about him not too long ago when we were visiting down at my shop and I was wondering the same thing. I miss hearing about his auction exploits and other things. If you connect with him tell him to get his butt back here and check in !!   Eric

I was texting with him back and forth mid November, 2019.  He is/was doing fine, just taking a break from the forum.

One of my big adventures was recovering Larry's Pacific Coast from the shippers garage in a little gathering of houses in the middle of Forgotonia Illinois. My brother went along and just went in the open rear garage door. We found the bike, ID'd it, opened the overhead door and just took it. All I had was Larry's phone number and his word that it was his and insured. I couldn't figure out how to tie it down (all plastic) so I just rode it the 30 miles home. Larry sent a reputable shipper to my house to get it the rest of the way to Pa. Later my brother said someone was there, a little dog was barking and just stopped did you ever hear a little dog stop barking on his own?  Hope he is well and enjoying life.

Hmm, maybe he feels we are beneath him now that he's moved to an Italian thoroughbred? ::) ::) ;D

Not that way at all Scott. Don't know the details but it was due to one or more members and the heavy cafe/brat/tracker/whatever you call it density growing to the point he needed a break.

We talk frequently and he is doing well. Trying to stay safe, enjoy the grandbaby and semi-retired life and when weather permits the new bike. He sold or is selling the Concours and I am pretty sure the PC800 is already gone. Larry isn't tall and the Concours saddle height was taller than he liked. That was a gorgeous bike.

It's good to know that Larry's going well, I do worry about all of our "senior citizens" here, especially in the UK and the US, with folks in that age group seemingly in the firing line for Covid-19. Stay safe everyone! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
