Repro Small Euro Tail Light + Bracket
« on: April 29, 2020, 02:37:48 PM »
bought an inexpensive tail light from 4into1... https://4into1.com/small-european-type-honda-tail-light-assembly/

i sort of assumed the mounting holes would be off compared to my stock bracket (750 K6) but not this far where i can't make it work without cutting it up.  will the correct bracket for this smaller light (from the smaller CBs - e.g. - 500T) fit the screw holes for a stock 750 fender?  any one successfully mount this light to a 750?  Thanks.

or does anyone have suggestions for a smaller than stock US tail light for the 750 K6 that bolts right up?

no...the bracket for that tail light does not even have the same number of screws.  Iirc, it uses only 2 and your k6 uses 3, and no, 2 out 3 will not line up.  Yes, that is frustrating.  Just don't go cutting up your frame for a tail hoop lol.  You need a k0-k1 rear fender.
If it works good, it looks good...

yeah sean i'll end up working back towards the frame if i keep this up.  not cutting the frame.  rather do what a guy on here did a couple years ago and trim the front of the fender, run it farther up and install a lucas style light.  was able to find smaller turn signals that look good but that damn tail light is HUGE.

since you aren't adverse to rotating the fender, I used a XL/XR250 tail light for the slim line look. you have to drill the mud guard, but there as an option.

I did this......

Wish I knew how to weld or braze, or even at least have the tools to do it.
If it ain't raining, I'm riding.....~~{iii}?~~prost

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, it's because I cut and pasted from someone else.
