Which O ring for oil gallery plug (left side)
« on: May 04, 2020, 09:34:11 PM »
Hello all,
On the left side of the engine, under the shift cover, there is a plug for the oil gallery (16). This plug requires an O ring (14). On HondaChopper.com this o-ring is code 91303-035-000.
Honda Chopper Link (Look under "crankcase") :
http://www.hondachopper.com/engine/diagrams/diagrams.html
The O-Ring I was told to buy:
https://www.partzilla.com/product/honda/91303-035-000

The O ring on Partzilla, assuming its the right one, is flat-sided, not round. But the o ring I took off the plug is round, like a regular o ring. I've attached a picture. The original on the right, and the new part on the left, clearly not the same.

So is this the wrong part? Does anyone know where to get the correct one?

Thank you!

Check cmsnl.com. You will find your bike, model and year there. Go to the chart showing the part you need.
You have then the part number.

Either order from them with eventual other stuff or use the partnumber for eBay search  or a seller near you.

Part 14 is 91309-035-000 superseded by 91310-426-000. It's 11 x 2.5 O ring.

The original part was a 16 mm OD square packing and was superseded with the o-ring. Either part will work.

I wanted to wrap up this thread for future viewers:
I ordered the o-ring referenced in the thread and it fits WAY better the than the square one. Definitely go with the 11x2.5 o ring over the flat-sided ring.

Thank you all for the help!
