Help to Indentify Cam
« on: May 02, 2020, 10:35:35 AM »
Need some help to try and identify a cam. I was going reuse a Kenny Harmon F grind I have been using for past 10,000 kms. It probably has been in use for many years. It is showing some wear and since the new engine is completely rebuilt I am a little hesitant to use it. So I was able to pick out a few cams from a friends large bin of cams. I am unable to identify the cam in question and actually have 2 of these. Could it be a KH cam without the end stamping?

The first pic is the KH F on the top
The next pics are the identity marks on the ends
Last is some marks on the new unknown cam on the cam sprocket holder, 2nd cam doesn't have these

Thanks in advance

Does the cam blank have CWC and K134 cast in?  That would indicate a 70s aftermarket “New” blank cam.  It’s certainly a Kenny Harmon grind cam.  Should be an F (big cam) rather than a super F(huge cam). You cam measure intake and exhaust lift to compare to your K/H F cam to verify.

Yes, my original KH F has both CWC & K134 cast in it. The other cams do not. I've included pics of the 3 cams, old KH F on top, or left. The bottom cam is another spare and has similar castings as both say Made In USA but the lobes do look different.
