Topic: Looking for quiet, stock-looking exhaust for CB550F

I just enjoyed the 8-page Exhaust Photo Reference Library, lots of cool period stuff brings back memories.  I'm in the market for a replacement for my noisy MAC system that came with the bike.  Looking for quiet, stock looking low design, retain the center stand.  My MAC is in very good shape, so I would also consider just a new muffler if I could find something long, low and quiet to bolt up to the header.

 Does your MAC have a baffle? I've never considered the MAC loud.

I assume it does, there's a plate in the end with a smaller outlet for the exhaust pipe.  Maybe the insulation is just all burned out.  (pics attached)

That pipe looks great! Why not pull out the insides and repack it?

The Delkavic muffler has two levels of baffles. I removed the inner and just run the single fiberglass wrapped baffleI on my 750 and it doesn't seem excessively loud to me. Plus it will never rust and is quite light.
