« on: May 04, 2020, 08:31:31 AM »
Bike: 78’ CB550

Issue: Gas leaking from 1 carb with fuel on.

Question: Do pd carbs have a float valve o ring?

I’ve tried searching online and find everything beside of carbs 🙄

More likely float valve needle

From memory the float valve seat is pressed in and not replacable

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

I'd first drain the float chamber (petcock closed). Open petcock and tap float chamber with stub end of a screwdriver. Hope possible dirt between valve and needle is freed.
